Studio Sessions

It's been a low-key weekend so far, meaning I've been killing some time in the dance studios. I'm actually headed there now! Yesterday I thought I'd play around with capturing movement, in the hopes of one day being able to properly photograph dancers. Anyway, here are a few of the shots I got. Enjoy!

Studio Times - Domino

I've made a point of spending more time in the dance studio of late, just stretching and experimenting. Thursday night Jocelyn and I decided to work on tap and hip-hop for a bit, since we don't have a chance to work on those styles in class. We filmed a bit of Jessie J's "Domino," as seen below. It's super informal and not top-notch, but I had fun doing it!

I'm hoping we'll keep playing around in the studio this semester. I'll try to post our progress so you all can see what I do with my life!

Valentine's Adventures

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FROM THE FAB FOUR!

We spent the day...

...hiding behind trees...

...posing in front of trees...

...climbing trees...

...hugging trees...

...hugging each other...

...a lot...

...venturing to Starbucks...

...and playing Connect Four (the game of love in case you didn't know).

Hope your Valentine's Day was sassy and super!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Welcome to Outfit of the Day: Valentine's Edition!
I awoke expecting a campus awash in pink and red. With hearts and flowers and candy everywhere. Alas, the majority of students were still in sweatpants, but I wore my red skirt and curls with pride!

Outfit Details:
Grey V-neck - Forever 21
Red skirt - Street Scene Vintage
Black flats - Target
Red/silver chandelier earrings - Vintage
Glasses - Rue21

My Valentine's date was this tree. We had some fun.

But really, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day full of hearts, chocolate, and love! I don't have a significant other, but I see V-Day as a way to celebrate my love for my family, friends, and life. And there was oh so much love this year!

Early Spring

Thursday was a surprisingly warm day, a welcome change from winter weather. Anna Lee, Sarah, Jocelyn, and I took advantage of the warmth with photos and cupcakes after Acting class!

Outfit Details
Green tee - Calypso Boutique
Flower skirt - Street Scene Vintage
Tan heels - Goodwill
Silver flower earrings - gifted

This is only the second chance I've had to wear this lovely skirt, but I'm sure it will be a staple in my wardrobe once Spring finally rolls around.

Goodwill has really come through for me when it comes to shoes!

Bricks and mortar

Sometimes I claim I'll have a post up in two days. Alas, I lied to you.
Anna Lee and I truly intended to take photos every Tuesday/Thursday, but occasionally school gets in the way. Thursday had me in a panic about finding a monologue for acting, so we had to forgo outfit pictures. Hopefully that won't be a regular occurrence. But onto Tuesday's Outfit of the Day!

Outfit Details
Grey V-neck - Forever 21
Maroon corduroys - Ann Taylor
Moss cardigan - Oscar de la Renta via Goodwill
Copper flats - Goodwill
Silver coin earrings - gifted
Scarf - Forever 21

Here, have some outtakes.

And once again, I've taken to posting my looks on Lookbook. Spare a hype?

Second Semester

Hello there! It's been awhile.
As you can infer from the title, the second semester of my sophomore year has started. I've been back at school for a week and am still readjusting. Unfortunately, this semester contains quite a few business classes and barely any theatre and dance. I mean, I am pursuing a double major in international business, so I should get accustomed to business classes, but they are simply no fun! I truly don't understand how people want to work in business instead of be artists. But enough of my rambling...

I'll fill you in on the exciting last week or so of my break at some point, but in the meantime Anna Lee and I have resumed outfit photos! Today was miraculously warm, meaning I busted out the cat shorts while I could. Enjoy!

We lacked imagination in finding a shooting location today, so it was back to our trusty tree!

Outfit Details
Maroon beret - Vintage
Grey V-neck - DOTS
Cat shorts - Forever 21
Copper flats - Goodwill
Peter and the Starcatcher bracelet

I've been wearing my Peter and the Starcatcher bracelet nonstop. It's a little reminder of what I'm working for. It keeps me going through all those boring business classes!

We're aiming to take photos every Tuesday and Thursday, so expect more posts from me in the future! Also, I've taken to posting my outfits on lookbook occasionally, so if you could spare a hype it would be much appreciated!

Leaving My Teenage Years Behind Me

Well world, I've finally finished my teenage years. Here's to a sweet new decade!

Celebrated my 20th birthday with some delicious cupcakes from Caramanda's. If you are ever in Lexington, I highly recommend you check them out!
Flavors:
Chocolate Cheesecake | Italian Cream
Coconut Cream | Chocolate Salted Caramel
Chocolate Explosion | Red Velvet
Strawberry Shortcake | Chocolate Swirl

In my opinion, you're never too old for a tiara.

All in all, it was a fairly low-key day, but a lovely one nonetheless! Had some schoolwork and study abroad application business to do in the morning, played around with my camera, had dinner and presents with my family, and I am now watching The Avengers! More of the same is in store for the first few days of being 20, I believe, but I'm heading to Georgia on Thursday for a theatre conference, so I should have some fun stories then!
