Second Semester

Hello there! It's been awhile.
As you can infer from the title, the second semester of my sophomore year has started. I've been back at school for a week and am still readjusting. Unfortunately, this semester contains quite a few business classes and barely any theatre and dance. I mean, I am pursuing a double major in international business, so I should get accustomed to business classes, but they are simply no fun! I truly don't understand how people want to work in business instead of be artists. But enough of my rambling...

I'll fill you in on the exciting last week or so of my break at some point, but in the meantime Anna Lee and I have resumed outfit photos! Today was miraculously warm, meaning I busted out the cat shorts while I could. Enjoy!

We lacked imagination in finding a shooting location today, so it was back to our trusty tree!

Peter and the Starcatcher bracelet

I've been wearing my Peter and the Starcatcher bracelet nonstop. It's a little reminder of what I'm working for. It keeps me going through all those boring business classes!

We're aiming to take photos every Tuesday and Thursday, so expect more posts from me in the future! Also, I've taken to posting my outfits on lookbook occasionally, so if you could spare a hype it would be much appreciated!

Juries

Tomorrow is the dreaded jury. When I audition to be accepted into the BFA Musical Theatre program at my school. Dance call starts at 8:30am, so wish me luck!

My friends Jocelyn, Sarah, Anna Lee, and I have been practicing pretty much nonstop. Hopefully we're ready! 

Even after our 8am Fundamentals final we practiced! That is dedication!

And then we procrastinated with photos...

Hopefully juries will go well tomorrow, as well as my Accounting final, which I've barely studied for thanks to jury stress. Oh goodness, I cannot wait for finals week to be over. THREE MORE DAYS!

Finals Week

 Oh my goodness, outfit photos? What?! 

Today has been a day full of studying for finals and of course some procrastination breaks to take pictures!

Tomorrow my finals actually begin with an 8am presentation for Fundamentals of Theatre. Luckily, I'll be rewarded that night with the Department Holiday Party! And my fellow sophomores and I have something fun planned...you'll see soon enough!

The rest of the week includes my BFA Musical Theatre audition jury, Honors Accounting final, Design project, and Acting scene presentations. Four more days!

In other news, it was actually cold today. The past few weeks have been 70+ degrees. Surreal weather for Kentucky. But now it actually feels like December, something I hadn't realized when I put on this outfit!

The Busiest Time of the Year

It's the busiest time of the year and as a result I've been neglecting the blog! Let me catch you up...

One week ago I was performing in Revuesicals as Lois Lane in Kiss Me, Kate.

And a Disney party, where I went as, what else, a cat. Marie from The Aristocats to be specific.

The day after that was Last Chance to Dance.

Then life was simply too busy for pictures...finals, piano concerts, scene presentations. Just utter chaos, really, culminating in "Fun Cabaret" last night where I won Best Dressed!

Finished off today with rehearsal for my acting final, filming for my Fundamentals final, and the performance of a directing scene that I took on last Wednesday. 

Onward to finals week!

Blackout

Black: the main color in my wardrobe. And somehow what I found myself entirely clothed in today. 

Obviously Anna Lee and I haven't quite kept up with our Outfit Photo Challenge, due to a sheer lack of time. The semester is coming to an end, meaning it's rush time for rehearsals, shows, tests, and projects. Last night I had rehearsal for Kiss Me, Kate until midnight and then studied for an accounting test until three a.m.! It's been a bit busy...

Yet we've not completely abandoned the challenge and were able to get a few shots today.

I've been getting bored of my regular old ballet bun for dance class each morning, so I decided to switch it up today with a french braid wrap. Any other suggestions for fun alternatives to the ballet bun are welcome!
